Tenancy Program

Nina is a staff attorney who works on VLJ’s Tenancy Program. Connected with her efforts on behalf of tenants in New Jersey, Nina is a fellow with the New Jersey Housing Justice Corps. In Summer 2023, Nina was an adjunct law professor teaching landlord, tenant, and housing law at Rutgers Law School.

While in law school, Nina founded the Newark Housing Rights Coalition, a program that matches law students with eviction defense volunteer opportunities in Newark. Also during law school, Nina interned with VLJ and Northeast New Jersey Legal Services.

Nina received her bachelor’s degree from Moravian College (now Moravian University) and her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School-Newark where she was a member of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy and where she received the Sera Ramcharitar Memorial Prize for excellence in work on behalf of the underprivileged, particularly women, children and families. Nina is licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
