Start by sending an email to aoliver@vljnj.org, indicating which case(s) you are interested in reviewing.
VLJ staff will then email you conflict information. If conflicts clear, you will be emailed the client’s casefile and provided the contact information for a VLJ staff attorney who you can reach out to with questions.
We ask that you quickly review the file and then reach out to the client to introduce yourself and discuss the case.
Throughout the case, VLJ staff attorneys provide mentorship. VLJ is also able to provide assistance with e-signature collection, meeting space (virtual via Zoom or in-person in downtown Newark), templates, and more.
At the conclusion of the case, VLJ’s asks that you submit a Case Closure Form to report the case outcome and your pro bono time for Madden purposes.
