Jaclyn Kramer
Development Director

Jaclyn is the Development Director at Volunteer Lawyers for Justice, an integral member of the management team who leads the organization’s efforts to raise critical funding for VLJ’s programs and services. In her five years at VLJ, she has successfully grown revenue, doubling individual giving and nearly tripling unrestricted giving. She is responsible for planning and executing events, including the annual gala, Summer Soiree, and virtual events. In 2022, Jaclyn successfully planned VLJ’s inaugural golf outing.

Jaclyn has worked in development for 15 years. Prior to joining VLJ, she was a major gifts officer at Covenant House International, where she was responsible for raising high-level gifts. Jaclyn has also worked for Human Rights First, New York Institute of Technology, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the West Point Association of Graduates. Her fundraising expertise includes relationship-building, research, event planning, stewardship, and graphic design.

Jaclyn is a member of Covenant House New Jersey’s Newark Program Board where she supports the group in service and fundraising events and with marketing, recruitment, and retention. Every year she leads a team at Sleep Out, a fundraising event benefiting CHNJ where participants sleep outside in solidarity with young people experiencing homelessness. Jaclyn has authored articles on fundraising and presented at several conferences including the MIE National Fundraising Conference, AFP Leading Philanthropy Conference, and APRA of Greater New York’s ProspectCon.

Jaclyn graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor’s in Political Science with a dual minor in Public and Community Service and Black Studies.
